James Owen Young

He was the son of the late James and Freda Young.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 54 memorable years, Ellen Young; his five beloved children, James Young (Beth), Sandy Bryant (Robert), Timmy Young (April), Jamie Young (Teresa), and Larry Young (Amy); ten cherished grandchildren, Samantha Stiles (Justin), Brittany Downey (Zach), Brooke Adkins (Paul),Kortni Foster (Tyler), Kirsten Helvey (Kadin), Cassidy Young (Abigail), Jessica Runyon, Robert Bryant (Jessica), Austin Ritchie (Emily), and Joel Young (Abby) and 14 treasured great-grandchildren, Braden, Colson, Alayna, Ryker, Avery, Wyatt, Owen, Jackson, Magnolia, Amara, Freya, Everly, Linkoln, and Briley. He also leaves behind a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Jim loved his family beyond words. His greatest joy was being surrounded by those he loved; gatherings, laughter, and time together meant the world to him. His legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to family will live on in all who knew him.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden, with Pastor Mike Long officiating. Committal Service and Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Restlawn Memory Gardens, Victor, West Virginia.

A visitation with family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service.
