She was born at Cinco on February 9, 1941, to the late James and Eugenia Meadows Stone.
Janet was a 1959 graduate of DuPont High School. After graduation, she was accepted in the surgical technician class at Charleston Memorial Hospital (CAMC) and became a surgical room technician until she married in June of 1962.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Ratliff; sister, Judy Stone; and brothers, Jimmy and Keith Stone.
Janet attended Spring Fork Missionary Baptist Church, Campbells Creek.
She is survived by daughter, Marilyn Ratliff of Campbells Creek; son, Harold Ratliff of Cincinnati; and sister, Carolyn Sue Golema of Prudenville, MI.
At Janet’s request, she will be cremated and there will be no services.
