Jannie was born in Charleston on January 16, 1946, to the late Henry Lee Stone and Tilda Jane Estep. She was a homemaker, a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Rita Darby and Carolyn Stone; and brother, Clifford “CH” Stone.
Jannie is survived by her children, James (May) Lycans of Walton, Herbert Wheeler Jr. of Culloden, Darla Taylor and Penny Hartley both of Ripley; sisters, Katheleen Grubbs and Annie Holstein both of North Carolina; nine grandchildren and twenty seven great-grandchildren.
At Jannie’s request, cremation has been honored, and a Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
