Jewel Venus Atkins

Jewel was born at Birch River on January 14, 1931, to the late James and Cammie Bailey Hall. She was a member of Malden Baptist Church.

Along with her parents, Jewel was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur L. Atkins; son, Arthur L. “Jack” Atkins Jr.; sisters, Mavis Hall, Charlotte Waggoner and Edith Spence; brother, Franklin Hall.

Surviving are her daughter, Cammie (Wilson) Wheeler of Charleston; son, Tony (Alice) Atkins of Teays Valley; brother, Billy Hall of Avon, OH; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden, with the Rev. Dwight Thornton officiating. The funeral service will be live-streamed on the Funeral Home Facebook page. Burial will follow at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.

A visitation with family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service.
