Jonathan David Sovine

Jon is survived by his wife and childhood sweetheart, Nicole Sovine; stepson, Phillip Ruff of which he was so proud; daughter of his heart, Baby Girl; loving father and doting mother, Gary and Evelyn Sovine of which he was a proud mommas boy; brother, coworker and best friend, Jody (Shannon) Sovine; little sister and one he confided in, Carrie (B-Dub) Wilkinson; nieces and nephews, Kaleb, Jack and Haiden Wilkinson, Karly and Karder Sovine, Landon, Ella and Bryson; and fur babies who he loved to spoil, Phoebe and Dixon.

Jon grew up playing with many friends on Georges Creek. He was a graduate of DuPont High School. After completing high school, he became a welder and a journeyman ironworker with C&L Construction Local 304. Jon was a Christian and loved to study the Bible. He was a member of Randolph Street Baptist Church.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday September 27, 2025, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden with Pastor Rick Pursley and Pastor Jason McClanahan officiating.

A visitation with family and friends will be held one hour prior to the memorial service.
