

Lawrence B. “Buck” Hardman, Jr., 74, of Charleston, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2016, at Hubbard Hospice House West. Buck was born in Ward on April 6, 1942, to the late Lawrence and Pearl Szerokman Hardman. He was a retired supervisor for E.I. DuPont, Belle, with 28 years of service. He was a 1960 graduate of DuPont High School. A member of the United Disciples of Christ Church; a member of the FOPA #4, Charleston Elks Lodge #202, Charleston Moose #1444, and was a former baseball player for the Charleston Charlies. He was also a US Army veteran. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Hardman. Buck is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Linda Williams Hardman; daughters, Barb (John) Merashoff of Cleveland, Ohio, Elisha Williams of Charleston; son, Brandon Youell of Charleston; sisters, Vicky (Ira) White of Conway, S.C., Janie (Ted) Kuhn of Hurricane, and Tammy (Dan) Hardman Dusch of Florida; brothers, Danny and Chris Hardman, both of Chelyan; grandchildren, Mandy (Kyle) Bane, Sydnea, Eli, Lilly and Mason Youell; two great- grandchildren; special niece, Bethany. Funeral service will be held noon, Wednesday, November 9, at the United Disciples of Christ Church, South Charleston, with Pastor Steven Smith officiating. Burial with military rites will be 3 p.m., Wednesday, at Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville. Visitation with family and friends will be held from 10 a.m., until service time on Wednesday at the church.
