

Leonard Allen “Lenny” Boyd, 63, of Charleston, passed away at home with his family by his side on October 21, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Leonard and Lorraine Boyd; his loving wife of 40 years, Karen England Boyd; brother, Stephen A. Harold; and his best companions, Harley and Lucy. He leaves behind his loving son, Jason E. Boyd and Susan Hoffman; brother, Cecil K. Boyd; sister, Pat Nelson; last surviving uncle, Sailor Harold; riding buddy, Darrell Harold; a bunch of loving cousins, nieces and nephews; and his loving dog, Lolly Pop. Lenny was a graduate of DuPont High School class of 1969. He went to work at Kanawha Manufacturing Company where he retired after 40 years. He was a lover of the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. Lenny loved living life to the fullest, his words of advice to everyone was “The main thing is….Don’t get excited.” Due to his wishes, he will be cremated. Family and friends will gather for a visitation Friday, October 24, 2014, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden from 6:00 until time of service, then a small service will be held 7:00 p.m. with the Rev. Danny Kinder officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
