Lillian E. Reese King, 93 of Hernshaw was born, November 07, 1924 in Virginia and entered into heaven on March 10, 2018. She was surrounded by her loving family who loved her very much.

Lillian was a nurse for over 30 years caring for the elderly. She loved her patients like family. She had a talent for writing poems about her family and her childhood. She never lost her love for Virginia. She was a true Virginian. Most importantly, she was a born again Christian.

Preceding her in death, her spouse of 64 years, Earl O. King. Son, Danny and Special in-laws, Gertrude and Walter Adkins.

Lillian is survived by her children and their spouses; Charles (Peggy) King of Hernshaw, Charlotte (Terry) Perdue of North Carolina; Betty (Mike) Mitchell of St. Albans; Sam (Debbie) King of Tyler Mountain; Jackie (Karen) King and Brenda (Mitchell) Morgan all of Ashford, John (Rebecca) King of Marmet, Linda (Rick) Taylor of Sissonville, Kathy (Danny) Connard of Charleston; Special niece, Barbara Adkins of Marmet; 19 Grand-children, 22 Great- grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday March 14, 2018 at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden with Pastor Ollie Parsons officiating. Burial will follow at the Mitchell Cemetery on Left Fork Road at Hernshaw.

A visitation with family and friends will be from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at the funeral home.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to each and everyone of the King Family. I know your hearts are breaking , as you prepare to lay you precious Mother, Grandmother & Great Grandmother to rest. Please know that I'll be thinking and praying for each and everyone of you. Your Mother was a special Woman and when I would get to visit Or talk with her it was a blessing to me. She always made it known how much she loved her family. May God's peace comfort each N everyone of you in the days to come .

Mrs. King was our neighbor and I have never known a nicer family as the. King family. She was a hard worker a fantastic mother. I talked to her at Dr. Bacha’s office and she was the sweetest person. I know she will be greatly missed Prayers for the family🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
