Mary (Lewis) Cavender

She was the daughter of the late Margaret Kathleen Lewis Hudnall and Marion Albert Lewis.

Mary was a graduate of Sherman High School. She retired from the State of WV Department of Traffic Engineering and was a lifelong member of the Baptist Temple. She was an avid reader and loved every second she could spend with her family.

She is survived by her sons, William “Billy” Thomas and wife, Julie of Charleston, and Robert “Bobby” Thomas and wife, Debbie of St. Albans; siblings, David Lewis and wife, Ann of Winston-Salem, NC, Gary Lewis and wife, Susan of Nitro, Juanita Fitzgerald of Hinton, Jenny Crane and husband, Michael of Oxnard, CA; over 20+ grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews which she loved and adored with all her heart.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 3, 2022 at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden with Pastor Randy Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Adkins Cemetery, Charleston.

A gathering of family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m. until time of service.
