Mary Pauline Penn

Mary was born in Glenn Rogers, West Virginia, to Georgia Mack Brown and Walter Brown on June 2, 1939. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, William Edward Penn; her son and daughter, Edward Dwayne Penn and Kelly Yvette Penn; and her brother, Isaac Mack.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Penn-Brown; grandchildren Kelly Brown and Dr. Curtis Brown; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Mary was a devoted member of Rand Bethel Church of the Nazarene in Rand, West Virginia. She loved laughing and being around family and friends, traveling, and listening to good gospel music.

Mary’s life and love of family will be celebrated at a funeral service scheduled for 12:00 noon on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Steven & Grass Funeral Home, 4203 Salines Drive, Malden, West Virginia 25306, with Reverend Dorothy Dean officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in South Charleston, West Virginia.

The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 a.m., prior to the funeral service, and the repast will be held at Rand Bethel Church of the Nazarene, 4812 Church Drive, Charleston, West Virginia 25306.
