

Chip Miller, 67, of Mineral Wells, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2014, at his home. He was born on December 6, 1946, to the late Earl and Ruby Miller. Chip was also preceded in death by his grandmother, Lucy Holley. Chip was an avid golfer, who for several years ran the Senior Golf League. He had a tremendous passion for woodworking, loved camping, and was famous for his storytelling. He was a 25-plus year veteran of the U. S. Air Force. Having spent all those years in the military, he was used to fighting and he fought the cancer off for close to six years. Chip was a loving husband, father, father-in-law and “Grampy”. He will be missed by his loving family, many friends and his Little Hocking River family. He is survived by his wife, Sandy Jenkins Miller; children, Stephen Ray (Amy) Miller and Karen Lynn (Chris) Joseph; grandsons, Conner Hey, who was his best friend, and Anthony Joseph; granddaughters, Blaine and Reese Miller; step-grandson, Austin Ballangee; brother, Daniel Holley; sisters, Norma Lombardo, Delores Cummings and Carol Caldwell; his loving pets; and a large extended family. The funeral service with military honors will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 16, 2014, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden. Family and friends will gather for the visitation one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
