Robert "Bob" Cecil Cantley

Bob was born in Beckley on March 3, 1943. He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Cecil (Fontz) McCartney and his father, Ed (Trudy) Cantley. He was a 1961 graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School; retired with 39 ½ years of service from WV American Water and a member of South Ruffner Presbyterian Church. Robert became a born again Christian as a teen. He taught Sunday School for many years and loved and served the Lord with a giving heart.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Mae Pennington Cantley; daughters, Rebekah Cantley of Cross Lanes, Mindy (Tim) McDaniel of Charleston and Robin (Toby) Rucker of Poca; five grandchildren, Heather Hamilton, Chad Williams, Caleb and Collin McDaniel and Grace Rucker; four great grandchildren, Lorelai McDaniel, Eloise Williams, Emma Hamilton and Delilah McDaniel; brothers, Larry Cantley and Chuck Gilbert; along with many cousins, family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday August 14, 2023 at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden with Chaplain Pete Thompson officiating. Entombment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park, South Charleston.

A visitation with family and friends will be held from 11:00 am until service time on Monday.
