He was born in Tad on November 24, 1929, to the late Ancel and Ollie Collins Shelton. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Rosalie Shelton; and brothers, William and Eugene Shelton.
Bob was a former janitor for the West Virginia State Capitol and was a U. S. Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by sons, Philip and Christopher Shelton of Charleston; sisters, Carrie Hodges of New Palestine, Ohio and Mary Ann Cook of New Canton, Virginia; and brother, Jerry Warner of Charleston.
The funeral service will be held noon Monday, December 14, 2015, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden, with Pastor Mike Long officiating. The burial will follow the service at Collins Cemetery, Tad.
A visitation will be held for family and friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
