Sandi Lea (Wright) Stepp was born on April 24, 1946 to George Robert & Carmen “Hazel” (Ellis) Wright at Point Lick, Charleston, WV. She married Daniel W Stepp on January 27, 1962 and the highlight of her life was being his devoted wife, the mother of their six children and “Ma-maw” to her 26 grandkids and 3 great-grandchildren. She reflected the Splendor of her Precious LORD and Saviour in her life, by hallowing His Word and His churches she knew she was privileged to be a faithful member of. Her eleven trips as Pastor’s Wife (Ma’am Sandi) to the Philippines Mission Field certainly left a world-wide impression of her humble, yet compelling stand for God’s Truth. Her spirit departed this earth on December 10, 2018 at her home in Given, WV and she took up her new residence in the Palace of her King, where our God has prepared her Crowns of Glory! Sandi was preceded in death by her parents; her only brother, John (1977) and her sister Caroline Sue (2012). She is survived by her Faithful husband, Dan; daughter Leandra (Todd), sons- Samuel (Wanda) & Benjamin (Jennifer) all of Given; Sons- Daniel (Crystal) of Hurricane; Matthew (Becky) of Wayne and Paul (Michelle) of Lizemores. Her sister Sheila resides in Malden. Her beloved grand-jewels are Stephen, Joel, Julianna, Morgan, Virginia (David), Carmen (Nathan), Olivia, Liberty, Andrew (Paige), Noah, Miriam, Moses, Abigail, Kaitlynn (Jonathan), Joshua, Victoria, Hannah, Joseph, Samara, Haley, Jonathan, Elijah, Ethan, Bethany, Sara, Charity. Great-grand-jewels are Ezekiel, Grace and William. Funeral services at noon, with an hour of visitation previous on Saturday, December 15 are courtesy of Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden and will be conducted by Pastor Benjamin Stepp, with a viewing Friday December 14 from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Her ten grandsons will be the pall-bearers, with a Burial Service at the Heritage Landmark Baptist Church, 1464 Rockcastle Road, Given, WV at 2pm following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church’s Philippine Mission Work, so beloved by this pastor’s wife, 1464 Rockcastle Road, Given, WV 25245. Sincerest condolences to Uncle Dan, my cousins, and the extended Stepp family. I know what treasure you have lost for a time and what hope of reunion you have for the future.

I never heard a cross word or anything negative cross her lips. Aunt Sandi was as uplifting and caring of her nieces and nephews as if we were her own. I too will miss her soft gentle voice and words of encouragement.

She is entered into the rest promised by our Lord and Saviour, Jesus the Christ. Although my heart is heavy with the thought that I won't see her or hear her voice again in this life, I am content that in a few more years we will be able to pass eternity together again. God bless.
