Sharon Yvonne Ellis

Beloved Mother and Grandmother, Sharon Yvonne Hill Ellis was born February 12th, 1950 in Hernshaw to the late Austin and Frances Hill. She attended East Bank High School. She enjoyed her dogs, reading and watching movies and British TV mysteries. She was a wonderful cook, something she learned from a long line of Hill women. An incredibly entertaining young soul, she was so easy to talk to and made everyone feel like a friend. She was a fiercely protective, loving mother to her 3 children, Missy, Chris and Tim and they all love their mother deeply.

In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by sisters, Barbara Wells and Janice Lawrence; brother Richard Hill; and recently, niece Kelly Lucas. She is survived by her loving partner, James Ingram; daughter Melissa (Richard) Auricchio of Merrit Island, Florida, Christopher (Tasha) Ellis of Charleston and Timothy (Michael) Ellis of Catlettsburg, Kentucky; brothers, Larry (Judy) Hill and Billy (Brenda) of Charleston; sister Joyce (Gene) Tuemler of Johnson City, Tennessee; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.

According to her final wishes, Sharon will be cremated. A memorial service will be held on Sunday March 6th at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home in Malden. Visitation will be from 2-4 pm with a service immediately following. Anyone who would like to come celebrate in her life and memory is welcome to attend.
