She was born in Princeton on August 20, 1946, to the late Eldridge and Nannie Mae Tilly Walker. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, James Robert Payne.
Sheila was a retired beautician.
She is survived by husband, James Payne; sisters, Dorothy Toff of Princeton, Dana Pettry of Miami, Marlene Dillon of Bryson City, NC and Sylvia (Daniel) Kinzer of Camp Creek; brother, Ronald (Nancy) Walker of Lady Lake, FL; grandson, Enick Payne; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 15, 2014, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden, with her nephews, Elder Richard Gillispie and the Rev. V. Barry Dillon officiating. Nephews and friends will serve as the pallbearers. The burial will follow the service in Montgomery Memorial Park, London.
Family and friends will gather for the visitation one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
