Timothy L. Spradling, of Charleston, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, July 6, 2018.

Tim loved the Lord and loved going to church. He was a faithful member of Kanawha Salines Presbyterian Church in Malden for many years where he served as a deacon, taught Sunday School, and led a Truth Seekers Club with the youth. Recently, Tim began attending Covenant Presbyterian Church in Nitro where he was a faithful attendee and enjoyed the fellowship and worship he found there. He never missed an activity or opportunity to gather together with his church family because he loved to fellowship with them as much as possible.

Tim was a charter member with Citynet with over 20 years of service having served many different roles over the years. Most remember Tim for being the go-to guy for just about anything anyone needed help with. He was a jack of all trades. His motto was “Feared by few, loved by many, envied by most and yet wanted by all.” Tim was one of the most helpful and friendliest people you could meet.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Blanch M. Spradling; maternal grandparents, Okey David Larch and Effie Reynolds Larch; and paternal grandfather, Joseph Maxwell Spradling.

He is survived by his father, David Spradling of Charleston; grandmother, Ruth Spradling of Charleston; sister, Tammy (Kevin) Walker of Sissonville; and nephew, Devon Walker of Sissonville.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden, with Pastor Josh Bailey officiating. Burial will follow the service at Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville.

A visitation of family and friends will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at the funeral home.

I had the pleasure of working with Tim at Citynet for many years. He was always the "go to" guy for anything Mac. A customer service perfectionist, there was no request too big or too trivial for him to take on. If he didn't know the answer, he would find out. Tim "Da Man" will be sadly missed.

My sincere sympathies go out to Tim's family and loved ones. I have worked with Tim for several years regarding the telephone system at The Village at Heritage Point in Morgantown. He was truly the epitome of customer service. Tim always found answers for us and never said, "that's not my job." I will greatly miss working with Tim. My prayers go out to all who loved him.

I have not had the pleasure of meeting Timothy in person, but we have had many work related conversations via telephone and email for the last few years. My heart goes out to you all. Tim has always been extremely helpful, kind and patient with me regarding Citynet and Village telephone questions and solutions.
I will miss him very much. You’re in my prayers.
