Virginia was born in Charleston on December 22, 1942, to the late Ted and Myrtle Layne McKeown. She was a retired secretary with Malden Public Service.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, John Crowder Sr., William Morris and Franklin Crowder; and sister, Kay Stone.
Virginia is survived by her children, Johnna Fugate and Angel Tucker both of Charleston, John “Buster” (Heidi) Crowder Jr. of Charleston, James “Wimpy” (Kim) Crowder of Pratt, Kevin (Cathy) Crowder of Charleston and Justin (Skylar) Crowder of Paint Creek; sisters, Judy Wheeler of Campbells Creek and Carolyn Diaz of North Charleston; nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
At Virginia’s request, cremation has been honored and there will be no services.
