Allan P Sanders

Allan is survived by his beloved wife of 67 wonderful years, Faye, his loving daughters, Debbie Barrett and Joyce Manstream and his cherished grandchildren; Amanda Steinmetz (Dave), Cory Manstream and Vicki Samuel (Andrew). He is also survived by his precious great-grandchildren; Gavin, Dylan, Kenna, Aspen and Lincoln, his brother Steve, several nieces and nephews and great friends.

He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Desi.

Allan proudly served his country in the U.S. Army in the 101st Airborne Division, also known as the “Screaming Eagles.” Upon his honorable discharge, he was a truck driver for 30+ years with Harris Bros. Construction Company.

Allan enjoyed doing projects around the house, and, he was always there to lend a helping hand to his family, friends and anyone else who was in need. He was a truck enthusiast. Allan was the most wonderful husband, best dad and greatest grandfather. His family was his greatest treasure and the times spent together gave him great joy and happiness. He will be missed by all.

A visitation will be held Friday, September 22, 2023 from 7:00pm-9:00pm at Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Dr., Manahawkin, NJ. A funeral home service will be held 10:00am, Saturday, September 23, 2023 with entombment to follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, Waretown, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Allan’s name may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (see link below)
