Passed peacefully into Glory surrounded by her loving family on January 3rd 2017. Anna was born on December 30th, 1942 in Brooklyn NY to John and Antonietta Ancona. After John’s honorable service in World War II, Anna was raised by her loving step father, Agnello Buono who affectionately called her Anna-Bell.
Anna was educated by the sisters of St Joseph, St Thomas Aquinas, Brooklyn NY, and later attended the City University of New York. After her marriage to Richard Viverito the couple settled In Staten Island NY, and raised their family.
Relocating to Manalapan NJ, Anna became an accomplished real estate broker, and pursued her passions in life that included oil painting and sculpting, a natural artist and a great cook, Anna won several cooking contests for her Italian American recipes. She had a loving spirit and enjoyed life with family and friends, and loved her Jersey Shore vacations. Anna was a child of the 50’s sock hop generation; she adored Elvis and oldies rock and roll.
Anna is survived by the love of her life Richard. They enjoyed 55 happy years together. She is also survived by her two children; Dawn and Joseph and their spouses, her grandchildren, Christa, David, Joseph and Dina who all lovingly called her “Nanny. ”She was a beloved sister to Anthony and Thomas Buono, beloved Aunt, Cousin, (Cuz) and Godmother.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 5 from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm and Friday, January 6, from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm.
A Mass will be held at St. Mary of the Pines, Manahawkin on Saturday, January 8 at 11:00am. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Manahawkin, NJ.
