Born in Georgetown, MA, she resided in Wellington Estates in Spring Lake, NJ.
Barbara honorably served our country as a 1st Lieutenant and air evacuation nurse in the Army Air Corps during World War II in the Pacific Theater. After being discharged in 1945, Barbara continued her career as a registered nurse and most recently worked for Hercules Industrial Plant in Burlington, NJ.
Surviving are her daughter, Lisel Fantry and her husband Edmund; and three nieces: Kay Whidden, Gayle Long, and Wendy Hanson.
A private cremation was held under the direction of the Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, Manahawkin.
