Dorothy Elizabeth Racz

She passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 13, 2022 in Manahawkin in the comfort of her home.

She was born October 14, 1935 in Belleville, NJ to Hugh and Edna Dunn. Dorothy moved from Belleville to East Brunswick in 1950 where she met her husband Andy. They were married in 1957, resided in East Brunswick, and started their family. In 1997 they moved to Manahawkin.

Dorothy is predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband Andrew Racz of fifty years, her brothers, Frances, Hugh and Henry Dunn and her sister Florence Callahan.

Surviving are her daughters Kim and her husband George Lachenmayer, Robin Racz and Stacey Ciaston. She is also survived by her brothers Vincent, John and Robert Dunn, her precious grandchildren, Dana M. Lachenmayer, Drew and his wife Dana Lachenmayer, Jamie and her husband Salvatore Aiello, Daniel Glassen, Nicholas and his wife Kara Ciaston, Jeffrey and his wife Hannah Ciaston and Stephen Ciaston as well as her adorable great-grandchildren Hunter, Savannah, Sloane and two more on the way. Also, many nieces, nephews, family and friends who will miss her dearly.

Dorothy retired in 1992, after many years from JC Penney’s to spend more time with her grandchildren. Dorothy’s family was her pride and joy.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:30 Saturday, March 19, 2022 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church,747 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ.
