Born in Philadelphia, she resided in Moorestown for most of her life before settling in Manahawkin over 30 years ago.
Prior to retiring, Edna owned her own construction company and was a Senior Project Control Specialist at RCA/Lockheed Martin, where she worked for most of her career. Edna was well known in her community and was never afraid to take action when she saw a cause in need. A Sunday school teacher who was devoted to her church, she also made the time to sing in four choir groups. She was a former commander of the Manahawkin Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla. In February 2024, Edna was awarded a Proclamation by the mayor of Stafford Township for all of her contributions to the community.
She was predeceased by her loving wife of 43 years, Natalie Mamchur.
Surviving are her siblings: Richard Winans, Jr. and his wife Tina Lorenz, and Sarah Jane "Sally" Crymes and her husband Dent; her nieces: Sarah Crymes, Raquel Klingler, and Jennifer Metzger; and her nephew, Richard S. Winans.
A memorial service will be held at the Manahawkin Methodist Church at a later date.
