Edward J. Montague, 68, of Barnegat, died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012. Edward was in the Navy in Vietnam and served as a LTJG. Edward restored his home from 1767 to its grandeur, which was his passion. He also loved to hunt and fish.
He was predeceased by his father, Edward P. Montague. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Dana Roberts Montague; his mother, Genevieve Montague; a brother, Peter Montague of MD; and sisters, Mary Ellen Montague of Canada, and Renee Montague of MA.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3 at the Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, Manahawkin. A service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4 at the funeral home, with a burial at Barnegat Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to our web site at www.shinnfuneralhome.com.
