I miss you my good best friend MaMan Ed for over 40 years.
I met Ed in 1975 when we were both students at Middlesex County College and even though I am 10 years younger than Ed we got along immediately. 
We have been hanging around all these years through the good and the bad in our lives and each of us knew that he has the support of a solid friend.
I met Ed's children Joe and Michael when they were children of 10 and 6. And they grew up to be his pride and joy. If you ever visited Ed all the pictures on his walls of his children and grandchildren will prove my point.
There are so many memories that I can go on forever.
But, I will just end it by stating that I miss my friend and I really hope that he is in a better place looking down at us with a smile.

Dear Joseph and Michael,

I am so sorry to hear that your Dad, my cousin Eddie is gone from this life. 

Geoff and I visited him in Harvey Cedars on one of our anniversary trips, in March 2009. He was very proud of both of you and told us how you had grown into such good men.

I have great memories of being the littlest cousin, Bunny (Joe) and Billy loved teasing me, and your Dad would join in the laughs, but would step in and put the brakes on them if he thought they were going too far. 

He always had a parade of good friends coming to party in the basement of your Grandma and Grandpa's house on Ryder Lane, they filled the place with music, beer and laughter. I hope he has gone to a place where he is young and happy again, with his great laugh and twitching foot.

I am so sorry to hear of Ed's passing.  Many of us remember Ed back as far as Central School in East Brunswick.  He was a member of the first graduating class at East Brunswick High School and attended our 45th reunion.  It was an especially happy gathering of classmates who hadn't seen one another in many years.  He sat with friends, Bev and her husband and Tom and his wife.  He was one of those honored by our class for his military
  service.  I will remember him fondly.

The Lord carry you through with His strength.

Beloved Cousin, your presence will surely be missed. Always quick with a joke and a smile, always caring for others, and never forgotten even though we were miles apart. Gone too soon, Rest In Peace Cuz. You will be in good company with all those we have lost before you.

Ed was just a GOOD GUY. Smiles came easily to him, and , he elicited them from anyone he came in contact with. He was always there to help a family member or friend.
Ed was particularly kind to my Mom,Jan Allen.
Once she reached the point when she no longer used her car,Ed would take her around in his .He'd refer to this as his,"Driving Miss Daisy".
We didn't often see eye to eye regarding politics,but,that never stood in the way as we could laugh about those differences and, about so many other ridiculous aspects of life. So long to a fine fellow. He'll be missed. Glen Allen & Edna Coston - Allen
