Gerard B. Hanley

Gerard Hanley, 75, of Manahawkin, NJ passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Sunday, March 9, 2025. Gerard was born and raised in Greenwich Village, NYC and resided there until moving to New Jersey in 1988.

Gerard was predeceased by his grandson Michael.

He is survived by his beloved children, Tara Hanley and her husband Isaac Sloop, Colleen Hanley, Brendan Hanley and his wife Lauren and Gerard Hanley and his wife Caroline, his cherished grandchildren, Bryan, Derrick, Sophia, Gavin, Donovan, Brendan, Caitlin, Abigail, Sean and Padraig and his precious great-grandson Leonardo. Being 1 of 12 siblings, Gerard is survived by his Brother Michael and his Sisters Kathleen and Laurie, as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

Gerard was a member of the Moose Lodge in Manahawkin, NJ where he made many lasting friendships.

He had such an amazing sense of humor; you couldn’t help but laugh when he was around. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
