Howard P Abraham Jr.

Howard is survived by Doreen, his beloved wife of 52 years, his loving sons; Erich, Jesse and his wife Jessica and Geoffrey and his wife Christie.

He worked as an engineer for IUOE Local 68 from where he retired in 2006.

He proudly served his country in the Coast Guard, serving in the Vietnam War. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with one Bronze Star, the Vietnam Campaign Ribbon and the Coast Guard Good Conduct Medal.

Howard volunteered as a member of Beachwood First Aid and Fire Departments. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and gardening.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Howard’s name may be sent to Feed the Children or to a charity of your choice.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 15,2023 from 1:00pm-3:00pm at Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Dr., Manahawkin, NJ, 08050. Committal service will be held Thursday, August 16, 2023 at 11:30 at the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veteran Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Rd., Wrightstown, NJ.
