

of Bayville, NJ (formerly from Westmont NJ and Harvey Cedars NJ) passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021.
Born in Anchorage, Alaska to a military family, he lived in various places growing up.
James is survived by his beloved son, James Michael Stanch ll and his fiancée Toni Paluscio, his loving siblings; Paul Stanch, Maria Fisher, Sally Stanch, John Stanch and his many caring nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his step-daughter Nichole Macedo and her husband Matthew, his step-son Bryan Leary and his wife Kristi, his former wife and good friend Elaine Leary, and his best buddy and Dearest Childhood Friend Ed Rodgers and his son Trey.
In 1975 he Graduated from the University of Miami, went on to the University of Puerto Rico, did his Internship at Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia and his Residency at the VA in Pennsylvania.
James was a Lieutenant Colonel for the U.S. Army Medical Department Regiment.
James was a Geriatric Psychiatrist in Nursing Homes from North to South Jersey, and a loving and devoted physician to all his patients and always willing to help other
He loved to fish, hunt, skeet shooting, boating, enjoying friends and most of all kayaking with his son.
In his teenage years, he was known as "HERK" (Hercules) by his best friend Ed.
