

Joseph is survived by his loving children, Joseph Caruso and his wife Lisa, Nancy Seibert and her husband William and Michael Caruso, his cherished grandchildren, Joseph Caruso, Teresa Toddings, Greg, and Alex Caruso. He is also survived by his precious great grandchildren, Aidan and Cole Toddings and Nico Caruso, his sister Mary Astorino Ward and her husband George Ward, his brother Frank Astorino as well as his many loving nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his long-time companion of 26 years, Mary Louise Kates, his sisters Filomena Astorino Maita and Racheal Astorino Ferris and his brother Vincent Astorino.
Joseph was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving his country in WW II. He was a volunteer firefighter. He worked for PSE&G for many years, retiring in the early 80’s. Upon his retirement, he moved to Florida to enjoy the warm weather and beautiful beaches. He recently moved from Tarpon Springs to live with his daughter Nancy in Manahawkin, NJ.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 29th from 2:00pm-5:00pm at Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Dr., Manahawkin.
