To the family of Karen and her mother....my sincere condolences on this terrible and devastating loss. My brother was such good friends with Karen. We always got together when I went to New Mexico to visit Arden. I feel certain that your two "special" angels will always watch over you.

Dear Alma, Doug, little William, and Karen's brother and sister-in-law.

I am in total disbelief regarding Karen and her mother's death. 

I usually talk with Karen every few days. I had left her a couple messages, but she hadn't returned my calls. I thought she was busy with her mom, so I didn't pay it any concern. So today I went to her facebook page to say hi and saw the messages regarding the accident. I went online and checked the local news and found out the details. I still don't believe it!

I am so sad for all of you.

Karen had such a rough time over the last few years with her health and things.  But no matter what happened she always put on a brave face and told me "We shall survive."
Alma, I didn't even know you had moved until last month, just a couple weeks ago. She told me over Pie Wednesday at Village Inn, and that she was moving home to NJ in a few days.
She was so looking forward to seeing her mom and her brother, and a new start.
Now she's gone along with her mom. 

I'm crying with you, and my sadness is overwhelming. I can hear her say, "We will survive, we will survive", but right now it's hard to think about.

My heart goes out to all of you knowing how you must feel.

It's said we all come from the same place and return to it when life's  
wondrous journey ends. 
Karen and her mom walk with Angels now. G-d's will be done.

We had the honor of having your mom to our home to celebrate christmas with Nana one year and truly had a wonderful time.I was just saying how I was looking forward to seeing her again. Dear Alma, Doug, and family,  I was shocked and saddened to hear about the death of Karen. We knew each other for over 30 years. She always took the time to share a smile and a laugh. She was kind, helpful, and generous. She was an encouragement to all who knew her. I will miss our long talks,  about Will and his first day of school, Alma and Cole's new journey, Doug and Joy's new life in Florida and her new life back in NJ with Mom and her brother and sister-in-law close by. It was always good to hear family news and the love she had for you all. I will truly miss my good friend, she touched my life in so many ways.

Her loving spirit shines on.
