Kevin Scott Rohrer, 54, of Manahawkin passed away suddenly on the morning of November 28th, 2017. Born in Leetonia, a small village near the city of Youngstown in Ohio, he lived in Florida for some time before he met his wife, Kellyann, and moved to her home of New Jersey. They had been happily married for 29 years. Kevin was the sole owner and operator of A-Advantage Gutter Company for 21 years, which served Ocean, Monmouth, Middlesex, and Mercer counties.
A devoted father and husband, Kevin was, first and foremost, a family man and an amazing father. Kevin and Kelly spent their lives lovingly together while raising their children. Kevin had a contagious laugh and the four of them will always be together.
Kevin drove his children, Matthew and Madison, to school every day. Kevin enjoyed playing the piano and watching movies with his daughter; his favorites were the Godfather trilogy and The Temptations. Kevin would often endure shopping trips to Ulta with Madison, which he did with the utmost enthusiasm.
Kevin was very supportive and proud of his son, Matthew, who made his father proud everyday with all of his accomplishments. Kevin always looked forward to spending time with his son Matthew, especially when playing Pokémon GO, which they did during their daily rides. He enjoyed every waking moment with Matthew and Madison and was extremely proud of them for all of their achievements.
Kevin will be deeply missed by all of his family and many friends. Kevin is survived by his wife, Kellyann, and their children, Matthew and Madison. Kevin will be missed by his mother-in-law, Mary Fargo and his brother-in-laws Harold, John, and James, and Shaun, as well as his sister-in-laws Patricia, Catherine, Mary Rose, and Tanya all of Ocean County, NJ. Kevin’s two sisters, Glenna and Lori, and his brother, Tommy, and his brother-in-law, Jim, all of Ohio will miss him dearly. Kevin is predeceased by his parents, Glenn and Rita Rohrer, and his brother Michael Rohrer of Leetonia, Ohio. He is loved and will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. May God bless him and his family.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 10:00am-11:00am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Long Beach Blvd., Brant Beach, NJ. A Mass will follow at 11:00.
The arrangements were handled by the Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Dr., Manahawkin, NJ.
