Born in Paterson, NJ, Leo lived most of his life in Elmwood Park, NJ prior to moving to Manahawkin 14 years ago.
Surviving is his wife of 47 years, Arlene ( Gebauer) Mitchell, his three brothers, Ralph, Peter and Edward, his sister, Rose Marie Morey, and several nieces and nephews.
Leo was pre-deceased by his beloved dogs, Tucky, Freeway, Pepe, Lance and Barney
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at 12:00 PM at St Mary of the Pines Catholic Church, 100 Bishops Dr. Manahawkin, NJ .
Visitation will take place at the Thos L. Shinn funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Drive, Manahawkin, NJ 08050 Wednesday May 6, 2015 from 9 AM until 11:30Am
