Lucia was born on September 30, 1941, in New York, to Michael and Lucy DelConsole. She grew up in Teaneck, New Jersey, alongside her brothers Charles and Joseph, who have both gone before her. She graduated from Teaneck High School, where she met the love of her life, Frank, at the age of 16. On February 12, 1961, they were married, beginning a union that would last for decades and serve as an example of love, faith, and family.
She is predeceased by her son Frank Joseph and her granddaughter Danielle.
Together, Frank and Lucia raised three children: Patricia Marie, Frank Joseph, and Michael Anthony. She was not only a loving mother but also a steady source of encouragement, wisdom, and compassion. Her love extended even further as her family grew. She was blessed with six grandchildren—Cynthia, Anthony, Ernest, Melanie, Tommy and Danielle—and later, with five great-grandchildren—Nadia, Anthony Junior, Jaden, Liam, and Keira. Each of them brought her immense joy and pride, and she cherished the role of grandmother and great-grandmother deeply.
Lucia and Frank built a beautiful life together. They moved to Maywood, where they lived for over 30 years, and eventually moved to Manahawkin, first spending weekends there, and eventually making it their permanent home. Later, they enjoyed many years as snowbirds, spending winters in Naples, Florida. These places were not just homes but the backdrop for countless family memories—gatherings, holidays, and quiet moments filled with laughter and love.
Faith was central to Lucia’s life. She trusted in God’s plan and lived out her faith through the way she loved and cared for others. Her family, her friends, and all who knew her were touched by her kindness, her strength, and her warmth. She leaves behind not only memories but also a legacy of faith and family that will continue through the generations she nurtured.
