

Marilyn Joyce Borgeson, Age 82. Born March 1, 1941 in Roselle, New Jersey passed August 21, 2023 with family by her side. The daughter of Fred & Edna Hamilton. Married her high school sweetheart Jon Lang Borgeson. Raised their two daughters Debbie Lyons Canfield & Kristen Mooney in Old Bridge, New Jersey. Marilyn & Jon were married for over 56 years before Jon’s passing on November 18, 2018.
Marilyn resided in Little Egg Harbor for the past five years. Previous to that Marilyn and Jon enjoyed retirement in Englewood, Florida. Marilyn was a former buyer for Automatic Catering in Edison, New Jersey. A manager at Doc Donahue’s North (Elizabeth) & South (Manasquan). Formerly, owned Stepping Stone Daycare in Brick, New Jersey and most recently a Real Estate Agent. However, she was best known as Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma/GG, Aunt, Wife, and Friend.
Marilyn loved having BBQ’s & lobster cookouts with her family. She enjoyed going to Smithville, relaxing on the boat, swimming in the pool and laughing. Marilyn also enjoyed traveling. Most recently, she went to Clearwater Beach for her 82nd Birthday where she swam in the Ocean and enjoyed the beach & pool with family. Later April, Marilyn enjoyed a girls trip to Florida with her life long friend Marlene. Her most memorable moments were her three day trips to Atlantic City with her very best friend Cathy, where they enjoyed shopping, entertainment, drinks, gambling & laughter.
Marilyn joins her husband Jon, Daughter Debbie, Son-In-Law Thomas Lyons, and Beloved Grandson Kyle Lyons along with her parents and sister, Arlene Fey. Marilyn leaves behind her Daughter Kristen Mooney, Son-In-Laws Danny Mooney & Jeff Canfield. Grandchildren Sean Lyons & his wife Marlee, Meagan Lyons, Daniel Mooney, Jr., Trevor Mooney, Kaitlyn Mooney, Patrick Mooney & their significant others. Her great grandchildren, Vincent, Chloe, Brayden, & Catalina. As well as her devoted niece, Kathy Burke, her husband Kevin and their family. Brother-In-Law Barre Borgeson, his wife Bette, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
