Marilyn was a devout Catholic. She began working at Avon Corporation in New York City in her twenties and left work to be a stay at home mom to her three children. During this time she volunteered to work for the Church of The Epiphany, and Epiphany school in Cliffside Park, as a school librarian, and as president of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers. She chose to return to work when her children were grown at the First Baptist Church in Cliffside Park, while helping both her daughters with their pre-school and school age children. Marilyn especially loved this job and was greatly valued and missed by all when she moved to Manahawkin.
Marilyn also loved nothing more than to be in the company of her family. She was a very sensitive and kind person who was aware of and attentive to everyone she came into contact with, a rare and precious quality. We will miss you Meems!
