How lucky we all are to have had so interesting a family and so many memories. Many years later, I still remember the joy of frequent family gatherings at Grandpa Urato's home on 70th Street. What cool aunts and uncles, cousins, grandparents. Always fun, always interesting. My Uncle Sam and Aunt Phyllis were so cool. So sad so many are gone...

I wonder if they are running a game with St. Peter guarding the door. I bet Sam and Phyllis bring a hell of a lot of fun to heaven.

My deepest condolences to Phyllis's family. When ever I think of her, it's with love and laughter. AC will never be the same without her. She was a great sister-in-law. RIP Phyllis. 🙏🙏🙏💔

Phyllis it was such a pleasure to have worked with you. So many memories that when thought about makes me smile. The band would come into the French Quarter Buffet and depending on what music they were playing , Phyllis would start a Congo line and everyone would join in and Congo around the Buffet or she and I would do the Mummers strut. From the music piped into the Buffet Phyllis would pretend she was pole dancing. We would crack up laughing.
I used to tell her that she was a pole dancer in a past life😁😁 I can imagine her in Heaven making everyone laugh. Such a beautiful and jovial lady.
Rest In Everlasting Heavenly Peace Phyllis ❤🙏❤🙏❤🙏❤🙏❤🙏❤

My dear Phillys, I have so many stories to share about you, but there is one in particular that I will carry with me forever, you told me two hours before you passed away that it would be time for me to take care of myself and that you loved me ... without me knowing what the last time would be I would listen to you ... at that moment I didn't understand what you meant to say was; that you wounded to rest and you would leave me alone .. I take care of you and shora I have to take care of myself ... I will miss you my phillys, my friend, my confident, my mama I just want to say thank you for everything you show me on life...❤️❤️❤️

So sorry to learn of the passing of Phylus. She was one of a kind. So full of life and energy. Too many great memories to share but will share one funny moment. Will never forget one day maybe 25 years ago when she sat on my grandfathers lap in the Deli at Showboat in front of my grandmother and then my grandmother had a few choice words for her. The best. Rest In Peace Phylus. Deepest sympathy to Loretta, Glenn, Claudia and the family.
