Where does one begin? Mr. Kelly was not an ordinary man, he was one of those old fashioned, polite, compassionate men that gave everything he did his full attention and his love would just overflow when it came to his family. He loved his family and for as long as I knew him he was so proud of all of you. Please let that love comfort you and know that he completed his journey not through the diesel fumes of a Royales bus but in the arms of a greater power. I will always remember stuffing envelopes at your house in Middletown and you giving me one of the greatest gifts in my life. If it was not for you I would never have my freedom to drive. I hope it is ok, I used that gift again when I taught my daughter to drive. She also knows of you and your family because I speak of you often even though I have not seen the Kelly family in over 20 years. Just know you have always been in my heart and you will never be forgotten.

Regret that I was unable to attend the services for Bob. He was truly a wonderful man and I do not think I ever left his company without a smile on my face. Bless you all!!

Mr. Kelly loved his family; he once said that he would never have traded any of his daughters for a son.

He was a man with a merry heart.

Thanks for sharing these wonderful pictures of your Dad--you can see that he loved life and shared that joy with his family. It is so touching that he would want us to do a kind act for someone less fortunate (we will!) Even with his passing, he is still making a difference! Our sincere sympathy to all of you.

Deepest sympathy to the family. So sorry you are experiencing this deep pain. The tender mercies of God can sustain you through this sad time and in the days ahead. The passage in Psalm 62 verse 2 assures, "Indeed, he is my rock and salvation, my secure refuge, I will never be greatly shaken."

I did not know your "one of a kind" Dad, but I have heard you speak of him in the past! One thing is for sure, he was proud of you and the rest of your family, I'm positive. You'll be amazed how many times your Dad will continue to impact your decisions you will make or the humor you will see in a situation or even his wisdom will still come shining through! You'll be in our thoughts and prayers, for sure, as you go through this week. May God bless you!

He was one of the kindest and gentlest men ever! Prayers for you all as you mourn a beautiful life on earth. Know God is welcoming another angel into his kingdom. All the Royales I know remember him fondly as one of our "Corps Parents".
