My deepest condolences to the Thompson family..  I went to school with Bobby from second grade.  He was a good person and loved to ice skate.  There are so many memories from Grove Street school. He will be missed.

Dear Bob and Jocelyn,,I was so sorry to read about your son's sudden death.  My very sincere sympathies to you and your entire family.  I remember my father saying how your son used to sit on his lap as a little boy.  I also remember, Bobby, what good friends you and my father were and I remember all your visits to him in the nursing home, riding up on your motorcycle!  I will remember your son at 9:00 a.m. Mass this Sunday.  I have been pastor at St. James Episcopal Church, Bradley Beach, for the last seven years.  Sincerely and prayerfully! I am truly sorry for your loss.  Though it has been awhile, I always enjoyed spending time with Bobby.  And he always helped more than anyone knew.  To me, he was the epitome of the "big, tough, cream puff."  I hope his sons realize how proud he was of them and how proud he was to be a Thompson.  And I am proud to call him my cousin.

    Bobby was my dispatcher for several years before he got on the job. I grew to like him and respect him for his ways. He was a good man to work with and a good police officer. A legecy you and your family can be proud of. I am deeply sorry for your loss. My thought and prayers are with you all at this time.
