

Scott M Zentz, 60, of Barnegat, New Jersey passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022.
He proudly served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army working as a meteorologist and engineer and honorably retired. He later worked for the USPS as a letter carrier until retirement.
He was a member of the Masons Nahe Temple Lodge #824. Scott was also a Former volunteer with the Barnegat Fire Department, Relator, and former member of the Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Club. Scott’s love for adventure and exploration led him to a SCUBA certification, skiing, flight lessons and sky diving. His wisdom led him to invent and create innovative medical devices.
In later years he found happiness in his hobbies including creating his own photography business, playing music, attending concerts, rescuing animals, riding his motorcycle, and traveling. With a creative mind, unique sense of humor and sharp wit, He never failed to make fast friends everywhere he went. Scott’s generosity, kindness, altruism and love for his family never wavered, especially with his Wife and soulmate Robin by his side. One of Scott’s proudest moments was laying the wreath for Rolling Thunder at the Arlington Cemetery on Memorial Day weekend.
Scott is predeceased by his mother Barbra Zentz, and father Robert Zentz. He is survived by his wife, Robin Zentz, daughter Heidi Zentz, son Zachary Zentz, and his siblings brother Robert Zentz, sister Eleanor Larsen and her husband Martin Larsen and brother Richard Zentz and several uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Scott’s final resting place is the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery.

A visitation for Scott will be held Thursday, December 8, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Drive, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. A funeral service will be held Thursday, from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM, at the funeral home. A committal service will be held Friday, December 9, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 11:15 AM at Brig Gen Wm. C Doyle Veterans Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Rd, Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
