On December 26th 1974, Susan Elizabeth Apgar made her big entrance into the world bringing with her love, kindness and a distinct quality of thoughtfulness that changed the way our family viewed ourselves and each other. The friendships she would make throughout her life and the amount of children she'd "adopt" as her own have already left an indelible mark on the core of our souls.
It is with immeasurable sadness that we announce that Susan passed from this world to the next quietly, peacefully, surrounded by the love and devotion of her family on November 4th 2021.
Her beautiful voice on karaoke nights, her unceasing sense of humor, her cheers of encouragement at the boys' school events & her crossfit classes, the thoughtful gifts and her loving spirit will all be missed by her beloved family and the friendships she held so dear.
Susan is survived by her devoted husband, Jeff Apgar. She was a proud wife, doting Mom to her sons Drew and Cooper, a loving daughter to her mother Sandra and step-father Gene Hall, an adored sister to her brothers John and David, and a fun-loving aunt to her niece Molly and nephews Jack, Hunter, and Lucas. She is pre-deceased by her daughter Maggie Elizabeth Apgar, namesake of her Super-Nana and her father, John Heilman.
Susan lived a wonderful life surrounded by people who adored her, so please join us in celebrating her life once again with a Diet Coke and plenty of tissues.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Thos. L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Drive, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 4700 Long Beach Blvd., Brant Beach, NJ 08008.
