

Major Susan Laubach, USAF, 48 years old, lost her valiant battle against breast cancer on February 6, 2012. She was the loving wife of Captain Scot Laubach, US Army for twenty years and the caring, devoted mother to her children Joseph and Samantha. She is also survived by her mother-in-law and stepfather Suzanne and Marty Dambeck, her father-in-law and stepmother Dr. George E. and Rose Mary Laubach, her sister-in-law Amy Beth Dambeck, Esq., her brother-in-law Dr. Michael Dambeck, her Brothers and their wives Bob and Denise Dress, Tom and Gail Dress, aunts, cousins, nieces nephews, and her new great nephew, Jack.
She was a graduate of Rutgers University School of Nursing and worked as an ER and Trauma nurse at UMDNJ, Newark, Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, Southern Ocean Medical Center , Manahawkin, Atlantic City Medical Center and Cedar Sinai Medical Center, L.A. In addition she was a veteran of “Desert Storm” where she served as a flight nurse transporting the wounded from the field. She was a caring nurse and an Angel of Mercy for all the men and women who served our country so proudly.
Visitation will be Friday, February 10th from 9:30-11:15AM at Thos. L. Shinn FH, 10 Hilliard Drive, Manahawkin with a funeral Mass at 11:45AM at St. Mary of the Pines RC church in Manahawkin. Burial will follow at NJ Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers a trust fund has been established for Joseph and Samantha.
