Susanne Braun

Susanne is survived by her loving parents, Dr. Anthony and Bonnie Picaro, her sister, Alicia Hughes and her husband Rusty, and her brother, Gregory Picaro and his wife Nicole, her daughter Erica Conley and her precious grandchildren, Brook, Natalie and Jake as well as her nieces and nephews . Her Aunt Terry Kriegsmann and her cousin Tammy Rawley each held a special place in her heart, along with many other cousins, aunts and uncles.

She worked for many years as the Office Manager at her father’s practice, Ocean Medical in Beach Haven, NJ, where she was known and loved by the patients and staff alike.

Susanne always had a love for all animals and a strong desire to care for them. She rehabilitated so many animals and thought of this as her life’s work. She was thought of by many as a “Snow White” figure with her constant care and concern for the wounded animals she encountered.

Susanne’s family would like to thank Dr. Dawn Kennedy-Little for arranging her care with Dr. Shersher and Dr. Spitz of Cooper Medical Center. They would also like to thank the staff at Cooper Medical Center for their diligence in trying to “put Susanne back together again” after her difficult surgery from last year. Her only chance at survival was thanks to their dedication and without Dr. Dawn Kennedy-Little none of this would have been possible.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Susanne’s name may be sent to Popcorn Park Zoo, care of John Bergman, who she had tremendous respect for, or to Cooper Medical Center
