Thomas J. Bernabeo, 80, of Manahawkin, NJ peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, September 3, 2020. He was born in Philadelphia, PA and resided there until his retirement.

Thomas is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Pat, his loving children, AnnMarie Schwartz and Daniel Boyle, Particia Bernabeo and Dennis O’Brien, Thomas Bernabeo Jr. and his wife Carmela and Angela Bernabeo. His cherished grandchildren, Wayne Michael Schwartz, Arianna Schwartz, Ryan Boyle and Meadow Sanmmarco, also survive him.

He was a mason by trade and worked for the Brick Layers Union Local #1 in Philadelphia for over 40 years. As an apprentice bricklayer, he won the Apprentice Championship Trophy.

Thomas was a fan of the NY Yankees and the San Francisco 49ers. Above all else though, his family and the times spent together were the happiest and most important times for him.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Thomas’s name may be sent to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.

A memorial Mass will be held 11:00am Friday, September 11, 2020 at St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church, 100 Bishop Lane, Manahawkin, NJ. Entombment will follow at St Mary Cemetery, Beachview Ave., Manahawkin, NJ

Sitting here remembering the great times we had growing up, and
going thru the Bricklayers Apprenticeship together. All the fun
times we had working together for 15 years, and the crazy things we did working on all the Hi Rise buildings, in Center City.
You were more of a brother to me than a cousin.
