
Thomas worked for 21 years in construction through the Laborers Local 332 in Philadelphia, PA. He became a certified carpenter and building maintenance instructor for the State of New Jersey. He served three terms as President of the Communication Workers of America Local 1039. He was co-owner, along with his wife, Cheryl, of the Maine Course restaurant in Beach Haven, NJ. Thomas rehabilitated homes, condos and boats with his best friend, Drew Robertson, both on and off the island.
Thomas is survived by his wife of 25+ years, Cheryl; his sons: Frank of NJ and Domenic of NY; his daughters: Jenae’ Palermo of NJ and Sunday Witts of PA. Thomas is also survived by his grandchildren, Danielle and Ian, his brother, Paul, of FL., and his sisters, Denise Alexander of PA., and Carole Schulz of MASS.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in Thomas’s name be sent to International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, 30 North LaSalle St., Suite 4300, Chicago, IL. 60602.
A memorial service will be held at the Brig. General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562 on Monday, November 30, 2015 at 10:30am.
