Born in Brooklyn, he resided in Jackson before settling in Howell seven years ago.
Although Scott held a number of different jobs, his most important job was being a father. In addition to his own children, he was a father figure to many others. He enjoyed playing golf and fantasy football. Scott also loved talking - he could spend hours talking to complete strangers about anything and everything.
He was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Anne.
Surviving is his loving wife of 39 years, Ailene, whom he referred to as "my queen, my wife, my love"; his children: Jared Forest and his wife Ashley, and Robyn Gerstein and her husband Michael; his granddaughter, Addison; two brothers: Mark Forest and Elliot Forest; and his godson, Howard Forest.
A funeral service will be held for Scott on Friday, November 29, 2019 at 11AM at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, NJ. Interment will immediately follow at Wellwood Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
Memorial contributions may be made in Scott's name to Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia.
