Born in Chicago, IL, he lived in Marlboro 23 years before moving to Manalapan 6 years ago.
Mr. Dorfman was the owner of Al’s Tack Supply in Englishtown, NJ.
He is survived by his wife Amy, his son and daughter-in-law Michael & Mandy of New York, NY, his daughter and son-in-law Hildy & John Somerville of Philadelphia, PA, his son Eric of Manalapan, NJ, and his brother Donald of Chicago, IL.
Services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels in Manalapan with interment following at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge.
