Born on September 25, 1969, in Colorado Springs, Allen graduated from Wagner High School and earned his degree from the College of Staten Island. Following his education, he went on to serve his community as a dedicated member of the NYPD, from which he later retired.
Allen was married to the love of his life, Jill, and was the absolute best father to Phillip and Hayley, as well as a devoted "dog-dad" to Lucy.
Known for his genuine kindness, Allen was the kind of person who would truly do anything for anyone. He was an avid sports fan who found love for Ohio and West Virginia football. He found immense joy in always helping others, spending relaxed days at the beach, and had a hidden love for dancing. His generosity, warm heart, and fun spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, October 5, 2026 at Mount Sinai Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, 374 Route 79, Marlboro, NJ. Friends and extended family should arrive between 10:30am - 10:45am for the 11:00am funeral service to pay their respects to the family before the service begins.
The burial will follow on the cemetery grounds.
The family will be sitting shiva privately immediately following the burial.
Public shiva will be observed at the residence of Allen and Jill on Monday from 3:00pm - 5:00pm and 7:00pm - 9:00pm as well as Tuesday and Wednesday from 2:00pm - 5:00pm and 7:00pm - 9:00pm.
