Ana Smith was a very loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. We will miss her. Family was always all important to Ana. She was one of 6 sisters, and they were all very close. She is the last of them to leave us and now they’re all together again. Ana was born in Cuba. She came to America in ’55 and was married with two kids by ’62. Ana raised and cared for her children in Brooklyn. When it was time to send the kids off to school Ana went to work full time. She was a seamstress. Always the hard worker, Ana became the best, seamstress in a large factory in East New York. She even made some of her own clothing and eventually did so for her granddaughter who loved her Nanny’s dresses. Eventually Ana retired and moved to Florida for a couple of years until she missed her 2 kids and 4 grandkids way too much. She came back north and settled in the Covered Bridge community in New Jersey. Ana lived a good life, always involved in her family happenings. She will be missed and loved forever.
