We have been thinking of Andrew these last few days with fondness and love. He was such a wonderful, warm, smart, funny, kind and caring person. We will always miss and remember him.

I remember all the stories about the ski trips even though I wasn’t there  We shared so many good memories with Andrew and his family going on trips together or just being at camp with him  

He will always be in our hearts and thoughts and we do miss him

I am so saddened to learn of Drew's passing. I was wondering what he had been up to and, upon googling his name, came upon this site. We were in a fraternity together at Union, and he lived with me for part of a summer after college, though it had been many years since we last spoke. Drew was such a genuine, warm, and funny person.  I am not surprised to see so many kind tributes to him. I only wish I had reached out to him over the years. I want to share my most sincere sympathy and condolences with his family and friends. 

I worked with Andrew at Manhattan Psychiatric Center and was very saddened to learn of his passing. He assisted me in training new employees on several occasions. His willingness to help and diligence were commendable. We spoke several times about his plans to become a social worker. I remember him describing how he wanted to train emotional support dogs who would comfort abused children who were testifying in court about what they had suffered. His decency and sincerity were evident and I wrote him a letter or recommendation for social work school. The profession in general, and world as a whole, is diminished by his passing. He was a fine and decent person whose passing is a loss to us all. My condolences to his family and friends. 

I'm very shocked and saddened by the passing of Andrew. We worked together at Biscuits and Bath- he trained me to be a dog walker, and we had one week where we were together for seven hours a day, so that I could shadow him on his walks. I really enjoyed that time with him. He was very kind and helpful to me, and he was REALLY funny. There were a couple of jokes he made that still make me laugh out loud to this day thinking of them! My deepest condolences to all of Andrew's family and friends. The world is not as bright without him.

Andrew worked with our patients and gave hope and strength to their lives. He brought energy and compassion to his work, and had a major impact on the lives he touched. We're grateful for having known him. May the light he brought to us stay shining in our hearts...

Just remembering all the ski trips with the ski club nd going skiing on our own. Best and most vivid memory is the one of Mathew and Andrew not being able to get offf the lift, they just kept on going

I am heartbroken since I’ve heard of Drew’s passing. My love to you and all of Drew’s family and friends.

K: You have a twin in my neighborhood. If you grew up in the pacific northwest as a lumberjack. I’ve tried to take his pic a few times but failed. You must see him.

There aren't enough characters allowed in this box for the things I have to say about Andrew.  I was his roommate for the past 3 years and just recently moved out almost 2 months ago. The day I learned of his passing, I was supposed to stop by and say hi and chat like we always do. I'm simply heartbroken that this kind soul has left my life. He was more than a roommate. He was one of my best friends and truly one of a kind. He always managed to make me laugh even when we were fighting or I was in a particularly sour mood that day. His character can basically be summed up into the last text I sent him that said "remember when someone thought you were Puerto Rican?" He never had a chance to respond but I know he would have laughed.  That was Andrew. He was selfless and full of life and his love of Luna was truly remarkable. I miss you friend.

I’ll never forget our amazing road trip to Northern Ontario after graduating from Union. There were moose, bald eagles, lots of walleye, a logging truck catching on fire, and Drew impersonating a Canadian Mountie. It was an epic journey, and one I’m fortunate to have shared with such a great friend. Drew will be missed immensely!

Drew was a student of mine at The American Comedy Institute and I am stunned to learn of his passing. I offer my heartfelt condolences to his friends and family.  He was a funny, sharp and kind-hearted guy. We would periodically meet for brunch to catch up and always talked about how our birthdays were so close in date. I'm so sorry to learn of this heartbreaking news.

I met Drew in Howie the Harp, it was an honor to become Peers with him around because he had insight and showed great preparation in his work.
Off topic, there was a day when he called me out when I was wrong and I raised my voice. On that same day he was there to protect me before I ever knew he was there. 

I had the honor to work with Andrew as one of his managers at Dave & Buster’s. He truly was a light of joy at work. Funny, caring, a beautiful soul. He always brought a smile to my face and so many others. He will truly be missed. My deepest condolences.

Drew and I became friends in New York through the acting and comedy world and later we became roommates.
Through anything we could always share a laugh together.  His spirit will stay with us and I’ll feel his loss daily.  
My love and prayers to all his family and friends ... to whom he cherished so much.


I went to Union with Drew. What I remember most is his ability to make me laugh and his kindness.  Such a great man. I am so sorry to hear of his passing.  

I will cherish all of our memories together. You by far are one of the sweetest souls I have ever known.  Your laughter and kindness will be with me always. Andrew, you will forever have a special place in my heart. 

We were deeply saddened by the passing of our cousin Andrew.  We remember him for his good nsture sensitivity  and love of family.  May G-d comfort the mourners.

Although it has been many years since we last saw one another, I will always remember Andrew as a sweet young kid.  We would play make believe games when I babysat for him and I thought he was so smart and kind.  Sending hugs and comfort to all those who loved him.

I worked with drew at hard rock, and no matter what kind of day he was having he always went out of his way to give me a hug and say good morning. He was a wonderful listener and such an amazingly kind soul. I will always remember his warm smile and laugh. 

I worked with Drew at Hard Rock and recently watched his dog Luna one evening. Drew had an incredibly big heart. I am shocked and saddened by this loss. His kind heart will be missed and I send love to him and his family.

I am stunned to hear of Drew's passing. He was my student and friend. Drew was one of the funniest people and writers I ever worked with. I will cherish my memories of him.

Drew was one of the most kind hearted people I've ever met. Watch him training with the dogs for one minute and you could see what a good soul he had. He will be missed by so many - human and canine alike. Snoopy (my beagle and Drew's training buddy) and I send our most sincere and heartfelt condolences to the Wininger family. You will be missed, Drew. Always 

As the previous gentleman said, Drew lit up a room. We started comedy together. He was fun, funny, a great friend, had an amazing laugh. I will miss him greatly. 

I was one of Drew’s fraternity brothers at Union. He was a such a great guy and would light up any room he was in... unfortunately, we’d lost touch over the years, but I will always have very fond memories of him.  This makes me so sad. My thoughts are with his friends and family at this terrible time.
