He was born in the Bronx to his parents, Rose & Harry Linder, on November 10, 1932.
“Jack”, as he was known to his family and friends, graduated from Brooklyn College and served in the United States Army.
He met the love of his life, Louise Meyerhoff, at a USO dance at the Fifth Avenue Synagogue just before he was shipped overseas to serve in Germany. They wrote to each other while he was away, and when he returned home, they became engaged and married on April 7, 1957. They moved to Brooklyn and became parents to their daughter, Aileen. Jack began his career on Wall Street and became a securities analyst and in 1965, moved his family, including Louise’s mother, Sadie Meyerhoff to Manalapan, NJ. He continued his career and eventually became a financial analyst, for several oil field services companies. His career enabled him to travel the country and also overseas, where he met with many heads of corporations, dignitaries and celebrities. He also became president of his professional organization, The National Association of Petroleum Investment Analysts. Jack was extremely involved at his synagogue, Congregation Sons of Israel in Manalapan and was president of the shul and also its Men’s Club.
Always needing to stay busy, after his retirement, he worked at Monmouth County golf courses and a local kosher wine store. He loved spending time with his family which included 3 grandsons, their wives and 2 great-grandsons.
Jack is survived by his wife, Louise, his daughter, Aileen Minchello and son-in-law, Joe. He is also survived by his grandsons and their wives, Matthew and Larissa Minchello, Scott and Rose Minchello, Justin and Jessica Minchello. He is also blessed to be survived by his great-grandsons, Noah Greyson and Ezra Elijah, sons of Matthew and Larissa. In addition, he leaves behind nieces, nephews, and many family members and friends.
A funeral service for Avron will be held Monday, March 7, 2022 at 9:00 AM
at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels,
44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, NJ 07726.
The burial service will be at 11:00 AM at
Cedar Park Cemetery, Forest Avenue, Paramus, NJ 07700.
